Pretty Prom Makeup Look

Prom season is fast approaching and some may choose to have their hair and makeup done by a professional but others may decide to do the makeup themselves. I thought I would put together a look you could use with products on the high street that are not too expensive. This is a pretty purple look!

Cleanse, tone and moisturise the skin thoroughly making sure the products soak well into the skin and remove all traces of dirt, oils or left over makeup.

Apply the Fashionista Mattifying Primer to the face applying a thin layer to all areas.
Apply a Eye Primer to the lids by patting gently to make sure the eye make up stays put.

Take a Real Techniques Expert face brush and apply a thin layer of the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum and work from the the centre of the face outwards, buffing the foundation into the skin.
If you have certain areas that need a little more coverage, apply a little more of the product a buff and press the product gently to these areas. Make sure to take down the neck a very light application.

Lets focus on the eyes next and apply the 'Cream Soda' shade, I used a Crown Brush Cresent Brush all over the lid.

Next pick up the 'Flump' shade and apply to the crease and slight corner of the outer part of the lid. I used the Real Techniques Shading Brush next use a blending brush to carefully blend the colour into the crease.
Apply another layer of 'Flump' to the same area and blend the colour into the crease again to build up the intensity slightly.
Bring down the 'Flump' shade and line the bottom lash line and apply the Revlon Eyeliner in Plum to slightly make the colour stand out. Use a brush to smoke the line.

Take the 'Blue Fizzle' shade with the shading brush and apply to the outer corner of the eye and blend the two shades together.

To brighten the eyes take the 'Cream Soda' shade and apply a little more to the lid and the inner corner of the eye. Blend the shades together over the lid.

Using the Rimmel Glam Eyes liquid liner, draw a fine line close to the top lashes & take the Benefit Badgal liner into the waterline.

Curl the lashes and apply one coat of Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara. Next apply the Eyelure lashes they should go close to the roots of the lashes and as these ones are corners only. No glue is required, so saving you time apply the lashes to the outer corner of the eyes.
To make sure the lashes blend nicely together, apply another coat of the mascara to the lashes.

Use the Bourjois concealer next use a very small amount on the back of your hand, using a Concealer Brush, apply a small amount dabbing under the eyes and gently swiping under the eyes. Make sure to go right under the lash line to make sure it looks clean.

Next is the cheeks... take a Blusher Brush and swirl the brush into the MUA Mosaic Blush and apply to the apples of the cheeks sweeping upwards.

If you wish to have a little more colour or replace what lack of sunshine we have had. Using the same blusher brush, swirl a small amount and blow off any excess product take it slightly across the temples, down the nose and under where you have applied the blusher to faintly contour the face. Bring a little down to the neck.

To finish! Apply a coating of the MUA Nude Lipgloss and voila! You have a prom makeup look and you will, I am sure, be the belle of the ball.

To set the makeup apply a light dusting of MUA Pressed Powder and a fine mist all over the face of the MUA Setting Spray with this spray your skin will stay hydrated and make the makeup last that much longer.

Sparkle on your big night!
